The TP-Link Wi-Fi camera package is the fastest route to proper coverage in a home that already has a stable wireless network. Each camera draws power from a nearby socket and streams over Wi-Fi, so there is no cable run back to a central recorder and no ceiling work.
In practice this is the package we recommend for renters, for flats where drilling is restricted, and for anyone who wants two to four rooms covered without a site rewire. Footage records continuously to a microSD card inside each camera, which means playback stays available even if your internet connection drops.

For a four-room HDB flat, two cameras usually cover the meaningful ground: one at the main door facing the entry, one in the living room facing the corridor to the bedrooms. A third makes sense if you have a service yard or a rear entrance. Beyond four cameras a Wi-Fi package starts to strain a typical home router, and a wired IP PoE system becomes the better engineering choice.
Where the resolution actually matters
Resolution only matters at the distance you need to identify someone. A 2K camera identifies a face reliably out to roughly four metres. Past that you are recording that an event happened, not who did it. This is why camera placement, not camera specification, is the thing worth spending time on — and why we walk the space before quoting.
Frequently asked
Do I need HDB approval to install Wi-Fi cameras inside my flat?
Cameras installed inside your own unit do not require approval. Cameras mounted outside your unit facing the common corridor are a different matter and are subject to HDB and Town Council rules. Talk to us before you plan any corridor-facing camera.
What happens to my footage if the internet goes down?
Recording continues to the microSD card inside the camera. You lose live remote viewing until the connection returns, but nothing is lost from the archive.
Can I add more cameras later?
Yes. Cameras are added to the same app and the same account. If you are planning to go past four cameras, message us first so we can check your router can carry the load.
