Ezviz Wifi CCTV Package
Ezviz is the consumer line from Hikvision, and it shows in the image processing. For a wire-free package the low-light performance is noticeably better than most cameras in the same price band, which matters more than raw resolution once the lights go off.
The package covers the same ground as our TP-Link bundle: a Wi-Fi camera per room, continuous recording to a local microSD card, and remote viewing from the Ezviz app. Cameras pan and tilt through a full 360 degrees, so a single unit mounted in a corner covers an entire living room.
As with all our home packages, installation includes proper trunking and casing on the power runs, testing and commissioning, and app configuration on your device before we leave.

Every Wi-Fi camera holds an open connection to your router and uploads whenever motion triggers. Two or three cameras are unremarkable. Six cameras on a builder-grade router in a long flat will produce dropouts, and the dropouts will happen at the far end of the flat where you most wanted the camera. If the coverage plan needs more than four cameras, we will tell you to go wired rather than sell you the bigger package.
SD card class matters more than SD card size
Continuous recording writes to the card every second of every day. A cheap card will fail inside a year and will fail silently, so you discover it on the day you need the footage. We fit surveillance-rated cards and we recommend checking the card health in the app every few months.

Is Ezviz the same as Hikvision?
Ezviz is Hikvision's consumer brand. The hardware shares a lineage but the app, the firmware and the support channel are separate.
Can I view the cameras from overseas?
Yes, through the Ezviz app, as long as the cameras have an internet connection at home.
How long does installation take?
A typical two to three camera flat takes a single half-day appointment including trunking, configuration and a walkthrough of the app.
